A bullet's entry into the body is reduced or stopped by wearing body armor. When a bullet or projectile hits the body armor, it is trapped in a web of high-performance fibers that are layered and sewn to meet or surpass particular bullet resistance standards. Each succeeding layer of material in the vest absorbs more energy until the bullet is stopped. |
